This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
2. Personal data we collect
- Contact details: name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email and area.
- Care information you choose to share about the person receiving care, such as age, health condition, mobility and preferences.
- For caregivers: MyKad details, qualifications, certificates, references, availability and bank account for payouts.
- Technical data such as browser type, pages visited and advertising campaign data collected through cookies.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and match families with suitable caregivers.
- To verify caregiver identity, qualifications and references.
- To process bookings, payments and caregiver payouts.
- To provide customer support via phone, WhatsApp and email.
- To send care tips and service updates, where you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve our website and measure advertising performance.
4. Sensitive personal data
Health information is sensitive personal data under the PDPA. We only collect it with your explicit consent and only share it with the caregiver or healthcare professional assigned to the case.
5. Disclosure
We share personal data only with matched caregivers or families as needed to deliver care, with payment and technology service providers acting on our behalf, and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.
6. Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data, and keep it only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
7. Your rights
You may request access to or correction of your personal data, withdraw consent, or limit how we process it, by emailing hello@lovecare.com.my. We may charge a fee permitted under the PDPA for data access requests.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising (such as Google and Meta). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, although some features may not work as intended.
