1. About these terms
These Terms govern your use of the website and platform operated by Love Care Sdn Bhd (473, Jalan Burma, Pulau Tikus, 10350 George Town, Pulau Pinang; No. 28, Jalan Ikhlas 5, Taman Ikhlas Sungai Long, 43000 Kajang, Selangor). They apply to the Love Care website and platform. By submitting a request, booking care or registering as a caregiver, you agree to these Terms.
2. Our role
Love Care is a marketplace that introduces families to independent caregivers and healthcare professionals. Caregivers are independent freelancers, not employees of Love Care. We verify caregivers before they join, but families remain responsible for choosing a caregiver suited to their needs.
3. Not an emergency service
Love Care does not provide emergency medical services. In a medical emergency, call 999 immediately.
4. Pricing and platform fees
Caregivers set their own rates. Families pay the caregiver's rate plus a 10% platform fee. Caregivers receive their rate minus a 10% platform fee. The full breakdown is shown to both parties before a booking is confirmed. There are no registration fees, deposits or lock-in contracts.
5. Bookings, changes and cancellations
Bookings may be changed or cancelled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged up to 50% of the booked session to compensate the caregiver. Recurring plans may be stopped at any time with 7 days' notice.
6. Payments and payouts
Families pay online via FPX, card or DuitNow. Caregiver payouts are made weekly, every Friday, for sessions completed in the previous week, to a Malaysian bank account in the caregiver's name.
7. Conduct
Families and caregivers agree to treat each other with respect, to provide accurate information, and not to arrange off-platform payments for introductions made through Love Care during the first 12 months.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Love Care is not liable for acts or omissions of independent caregivers. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
